Browse AllWe look for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as live-in carers, or to register with us, for future roles and opportunities. This can be either on an employed, contracted or self-employed basis. In this role, you would provide personalised care and support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and quality of life.
Most importantly, as a Live-in Carer, you’ll be a trusted companion and a friendly presence in your client’s life. Whether it’s sharing a cup of tea, watching a favourite show, reading together, or enjoying hobbies, you’ll bring comfort, connection, and companionship.
We take great care in matching our Live-in Carers with clients who share similar interests so your time together feels natural, meaningful, and fulfilling for you both.
Live-in care placements are designed to be flexible and tailored to meet the individual needs of each client. Typically, these placements last for several weeks, followed by a break. This ensures continuity of care for our clients and allows you to form meaningful relationships with those you care for. A minimum commitment of one week is usually required to cover breaks.
We aim for our live-in carers to find joy in their placements and in their time off in between. For example, some carers use their time off to visit family, while others take the opportunity to travel or enjoy a relaxing holiday. Why not get registered with us today to start receiving offers for opportunities which arise?
As a self-employed Live-in Carer, you’ll be responsible for managing your own tax and National Insurance contributions in the UK.
Need a break or planning a holiday? Just give us a call to let us know! We simply ask that you provide as much notice as possible so we can make sure your client is well looked after with another suitable carer in your absence.
Being self-employed comes with some great benefits – including the ability to claim back certain expenses to help reduce your tax bill. Here are some examples of what you may be able to claim:
Remember: these must be for business use only. It’s always a good idea to speak to an accountant to make sure you're claiming correctly.
Insurance: As a self-employed care professional, it’s important to have the right insurance in place before starting work – it helps protect you while you care for others.
There are several policies available, majority costing under £100. Policies are typically tax-deductible as a business expense, but we always recommend checking with your accountant or HMRC to be sure. Even better – if you're employed directly by us, we’ll cover your insurance costs for you, so it’s one less thing to worry about.
